WRDS Inaugural Presentation: Dr. Jim Goodnight, Founder and CEO of SAS

WRDS was delighted to host Dr. Jim Goodnight at the Wharton School to hear his vision through his presentation “The Age of Analytics: Competing in the 21st Century”. Since he co-founded SAS in 1976, Dr. Jim Goodnight has served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. A worldwide leader in business analytics, SAS has more than 11,000 employees in 54 countries. In 2009, the company’s revenue was $2.31 billion, its 34th consecutive year of growth and profitability. Jim has a Ph.D. in statistics and speaks internationally on leadership, education and innovation.

WRDS has enjoyed a successful partnership with SAS since our conception, and over the years we have worked together introducing many innovative analytics. Most recently, WRDS and SAS have been collaborating on Grid Computing to manage the massive amounts of financial data utilized in the academic and corporate markets.
